Because of InvenTrees self-hosted, open-source nature, it is nearly impossible for the core team to get feedback and have a feel for the community.
We basically know the people we recommended it to and see some friendly:sparkles: strangers recommend InvenTree on the internet.
So don’t be a stranger, say hi in this thread. Introductions can be awkward so here are a few ideas. Maybe tell us:
how/why you use InvenTree
how many users does your instance have
what are you organising? Electronics (as it started out) or something inventive like marmalades
Hi, I am Matthias (used the admin account to create the post).
I use InvenTree as a PLM and - with a lot of plugins - as a central automation hub for nearly every software used at a medium-sized business in Austria.
There are around 100 regular users in my main instance, I manage instances with a total of roughly 2000 regular users for friends and colleagues.
The use cases in “my” instances range from academia to manufacturing
My favourite feature is Plugins (I really needed them so I contributed them)
I would really love to see a modular user interface system - maybe even different ones for different use cases
In my day job I work as a systems architect and sysadmin in the IT org of a large European enterprise - when the workload permits it I do some engineering too (I studied civil engineering at a HTL).
I tend to contribute to InvenTree regularly under the username matmair.
Hi,
We use Inventree in a medium sized company fior electronics and SW development in Germany. We manage our components library. We have around 200 users and about 2500 parts in the lib. The parts are strictly in sync with the CAD tools for schematic and layout. Inventree works very good and rock stable.
We are missing certain functions. Some can be solved with plugins others not. So we try to contribute
minor parts if time allows.
